Core Essentials

The Core Essentials program is Phase One of Coach U's Professional Coach Training Program (PCTP). Attendance is required for all sessions to receive 78 hours of accredited coaching education. The Core Essentials program fulfills the coaching education, mentor coaching, and performance evaluation requirements for the Level 1 Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential application with the ICF.

This live virtual program will include:

• 2-hour Orientation meeting
• Two 3-day Intensive programs (with homework in the evenings)
• One 4-week Establishing Yourself Course (4 weeks x 1.5 hours per week)
• Two 8-week Group Mentor Coaching Practicums (1 hour per week)
• 3 hours of one-on-one Mentor Coaching
• 10 hours Coaching D-Partner (3 hours of usage are required towards program completion)

Program materials are available in the Learning Center or will be shipped to you and are included in the price of your registration. 

WITHDRAWAL/REFUND POLICY: 

Participant acknowledges and agrees they are responsible for the full payment of tuition before they commence the program. Tuition is non-refundable, even in the event of a participant’s withdrawal. If the participant must withdraw due to illness, schedule changes, life circumstances, etc., the participant’s tuition may be applied to a future program within a 6-month period from the date of withdrawal. (Limited to one transfer).

Two x Three-Day Intensive: 

• Thursday through Saturday from 10am-7pm Eastern Time (New York)
  • May 28-30, 2026
  • June 4-6, 2026

Group Mentor Coaching Practicum I:

• Thursdays from 6-7pm Eastern Time (New York)
  •  June 11, 18, 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, 2026

Your choice of one of the following Establishing Yourself courses:

• Establishing Yourself as a Coach: 
  • Wednesdays from 3-4:30pm Eastern Time (New York)
    • August 5, 12, 19, 26, 2026

OR

• Establishing Yourself as a Coach Within Organizations: 
  • Thursdays from 3-4:30pm Eastern Time (New York) 
    • August 6, 13, 20, 27, 2026

Group Mentor Coaching Practicum II: 

• Thursdays from 6-7pm Eastern Time (New York) 
  • September 3, 10, 17, 24, Oct 1, 8, 15, 22, 2026

3 hours of one-on-one Mentor Coaching:

• To be scheduled directly with your assigned Mentor Coach

Performance Evaluation:

• 30-minute client coaching session recording to be submitted after completing your one-on-one Mentor Coaching sessions

Program Completion Deadline: 

• January 6, 2027
